What it wasA multilingual online trading education platform for retail traders: structured courses, live sessions and a community, delivered across multiple markets and languages.

Why it matters nowEverything I do in recruitment, consultancy and investing was learned first at TeamFX: acquiring customers at scale, operating across borders, and staying on the right side of promotional rules.

The story

Five years, four chapters.

Told plainly. The numbers that matter are above; this is how they happened.

'17Start

A trader before a founder.

I started trading at 18 with a small account, a part-time job and more losses than wins. What I had going for me was time, a stubborn habit of writing down what went wrong, and a growing list of people asking how I was doing it.

TeamFX began as the answer to that question: a structured course built from my own trading journal, sold to the first few students from my bedroom in Cheddar, Somerset.

The product was never a promise of profit. It was the process I wished someone had handed me at 18.
'18Build

From a course to a platform.

Demand outran what one person could teach, so the course became a platform: recorded modules, live sessions, mentors and a community that ran around the clock. We hired coaches, support and a content team, moved from a laptop to a studio, and opened a second base in the UAE.

  • Multilingual delivery in English, Spanish, French, Italian and Arabic
  • A membership model with retention, not just one-off sales
  • In-house marketing across paid social, affiliates and organic content
  • A team of 10 across the UK and the UAE

International by default.

By 2020 the audience was global: Europe, the Middle East and Asia, each with its own language, payment preferences and rules on how trading education may be promoted. Running that taught me the operating side of a financial-adjacent business: payments and chargebacks, compliance of promotion, hiring across borders and managing a remote team.

Revenue reached eight figures in sterling and TeamFX became a recognised brand in the trading education space, with 45,000+ students across 10+ countries. The story was picked up by the national press, including Metro and The Sun, and in 2020 I appeared on Channel 5's Rich Kids Go Homeless.

Scale exposed every weakness in the business at once. Fixing them, one by one, was the real education.
'22Exit

Sold, rebranded, moved on.

In 2022 TeamFX was acquired by a private education corporation in a seven-figure deal. The buyer rebranded the product and folded it into their own portfolio. I stepped away with my first exit before the age of 25, moved to Dubai and put the proceeds into what came next.

The details below are what I can share; the buyer's name and the deal terms stay confidential.

The exit

Seven figures, on paper and in the bank.

My role after

Clean exit. No ongoing operating role.

Why sell a business at eight-figure revenue? Because the next five years of TeamFX were going to be about defending a position, and I wanted to build again from the operating side: the brokers, payment firms and fintechs I had spent five years sitting alongside.

Within a year of the sale Exec-Tech had its first clients, and the same network has since fed my consultancy and investment work.

What carried forward

Three things TeamFX taught me that I still sell.

01 · Recruitment

Hiring across borders is the whole game.

A team of ten split between the UK and the UAE, support in five languages and students in 10+ countries. Finding and keeping those people became the skill behind Exec-Tech.

About Exec-Tech →
02 · Consultancy

Acquisition that survives compliance.

Promoting a trading-education product in multiple jurisdictions means learning the rules first and building the funnel second. That order is now what I teach brokers and fintechs.

03 · Investing

Revenue first, then everything else.

TeamFX was profitable from the first month because it had paying customers before it had a brand. I back founders who build in the same order.
